Beaver Fever

In August 2014, Tri-City Roller Derby hosted the first WFTDA Divisional Playoff Tournament ever hosted outside of the US. During the D2 tournament, a giant beaver stood guard at the track. The beaver was such a hit that we brought it back for the inaugural Beaver Fever invitational, International, Tournament in 2015. In 2016, we did it again, but as a WFTDA recognized tournament! Seven WFTDA Charter teams shared the Track in Waterloo, and packed in the derby action! Exhibition games by Tri-City Junior Roller Derby kept family and fans entertained with their passion and amazing skill! We had more teams, more vendors, and more fun! Year 3 is going to be even better!

We are basically professionals at hosting now! The 2017 Beaver Fever will play host the most Canadian teams, in it’s history. We have amazing Canadian derby and are excited to celebrate it! Catch the fever in 2017. While you are there, don’t forget to visit our awesome vendors, and get your picture taken with your favourite player in front of the beaver. Don’t worry…the players won’t bite!

VERY SPECIAL THANKS TO THE LIONS CLUB OF KW FOR THE USE OF OUR TRACK GUARDIAN!
